Thermal Wastewater Treatment

A prerequisite for using an OKO-evap evaporator is that the wastewater constituents to be separated are not volatile in water vapour.

Energy is needed for evaporation. It is supplied to the wastewater via high-performance heat exchangers. The treated wastewater evaporates and is collected as a liquid distillate after cooling. The pollutant to be separated is enriched in the non-evaporated concentrate, which then undergoes
further thermal utilisation or disposal.
