OKO-tech and BIOTRADE Establish Strategic Distribution Partnership
New markets, complementary technologies and combined expertise in water and wastewater treatment: OKO-tech and French company BIOTRADE enter into an international distribution partnership.
OKO-tech is expanding its portfolio and entering a new market segment. Together with French company BIOTRADE, we are establishing a strategic distribution partnership covering municipal and industrial wastewater treatment.
The cooperation is based on mutual technology exchange and the joint development of new markets. BIOTRADE will distribute selected OKO-tech products and treatment solutions for industrial wastewater treatment in France. In return, OKO-tech will take on the distribution of selected BIOTRADE products for municipal wastewater treatment in Germany.
Municipal Wastewater Treatment Technologies Expand the OKO-tech Portfolio
With BIOTRADE, we are gaining an experienced technology partner in the water and wastewater treatment sector. The French company has been designing and manufacturing equipment and components for municipal and industrial applications since 1996.
Its product portfolio includes solutions for mechanical pre-treatment, sludge treatment, aeration and advanced wastewater treatment. These include screening systems, rotary screens, aeration systems, filtration equipment, as well as solutions for sludge treatment and dewatering.
Through this partnership, we are complementing our existing portfolio with selected technologies for municipal wastewater treatment, creating new opportunities to offer customers in Germany an expanded range of equipment and treatment solutions.
New to the OKO-tech Portfolio: BioPress Screw Press for Sludge Dewatering
One of the first products introduced through this cooperation is the BioPress screw press from BIOTRADE. It is designed for the mechanical dewatering of municipal and industrial sewage sludge.
The operating principle is based on a conical screw conveyor and a screen drum consisting of fixed and moving discs. The sludge is continuously conveyed through the press and gradually compressed. The separated water is discharged as filtrate, while the dewatered sludge is discharged at the outlet.
Key technical features include:
- Mechanical sludge dewatering through continuous screw pressing
- Disc-type screen drum with fixed and moving elements to reduce the risk of clogging
- Integrated spray-nozzle cleaning system
- Available in stainless steel grades 304L or 316L, depending on operating conditions
- Various models and configurations to suit the required dry solids throughput and site-specific requirements
With the BioPress screw press, OKO-tech is adding another technology for sludge treatment and dewatering to its product portfolio.
