Biogas Plant
The OKO-abs biogas plant is an advanced anaerobic treatment stage specifically developed for the efficient digestion of a wide range of substrates. Thanks to its robust design and innovative process technology, it enables the mono-digestion of grease separator contents with high gas yields, even where space is limited. The plant can be expanded modularly and is ideally suited for integration with physico-chemical pretreatment processes.
With a focus on resource conservation, energy efficiency and process stability, the OKO-abs biogas plant is a future-oriented solution for industrial, commercial and municipal applications.

Anaerobic Digestion in the Biogas Plant
Anaerobic digestion breaks down organic matter in the absence of oxygen. Specialised microorganisms convert these substances into energy-rich biogas. The OKO-abs biogas plant provides stable process conditions and makes full use of the potential of fat-rich substrates. This enables operators to achieve consistently high gas quality and high energy yields.
Physico-Chemical Pretreatment
Direct integration with physico-chemical pretreatment removes unwanted substances before the digestion process. This improves substrate quality, increases biogas production and protects downstream equipment from wear. At the same time, it significantly improves operational stability.
Biogas Plant Design and Construction
The biogas plant features a durable, gas-tight membrane cover for safe storage of the generated biogas. An AwSV-compliant design with integrated secondary containment provides environmental protection. All components are designed for a long service life and low operating costs.
Energy Generation and Gas Treatment
The biogas produced is used to power an energy-efficient combined heat and power unit (CHP). This generates both electricity and heat, which can be used directly on site. If required, a second CHP unit can be integrated to provide redundant operation. Effective gas purification ensures consistently high biogas quality.
