Wastewater Solids Separation: Fundamentals of Particle Separation
Sedimentation, also known as wastewater solids separation, is a process used in industrial wastewater treatment. Solids suspended in liquids settle at the bottom due to their higher density and can then be removed from the system. Targeted sedimentation can separate both coarse and fine particles. In OKO-tech systems, comprehensive sensor technology monitors and controls the entire process.
Processes and Automated Process Control
In OKO-tech systems, the sedimentation process is monitored using sludge level measurement, allowing sediment to be removed automatically and as required. This enables both conventional sedimentation tanks and compact continuous-flow systems, such as lamella clarifiers, to be operated effectively.
